Thank you for shopping at OTOPLAZA. We aim to ensure that every customer receives high-quality, correct, and reliable car parts. If you are unhappy with your order or received an incorrect or faulty item, this Refund & Returns Policy explains your rights and how we handle returns, refunds, and exchanges.

By purchasing from www.otoplaza.co.za, you agree to the terms outlined below.


1. Eligibility for Returns

You may request a return or exchange under the following conditions:

1.1 Incorrect Item Received

If we deliver a part that is not the one you ordered.

1.2 Damaged or Defective Products

If an item arrives damaged or fails to function as expected.

1.3 Compatibility Issues

If the part does not fit your vehicle even after providing correct vehicle details, we will assist in exchanging it.

1.4 Change of Mind

Returns for “change of mind” are accepted only if the item is unopened, unused, and in original packaging.
A handling fee may apply.

2. Items Not Eligible for Return

The following items cannot be returned:

  • Electrical parts (e.g., sensors, alternators, coils) once installed

  • Items damaged due to incorrect installation

  • Products used or altered after delivery

  • Orders older than 7 days unless defective

  • Clearance or promotional items (unless defective)

These restrictions exist to prevent product tampering and ensure customer safety.

3. Return Period

You may request a return within:

  • 7 days for non-defective items

  • 14 days for defective or incorrect items

Requests submitted after these periods may not be accepted.

4. Return Requirements

To approve your return, the product must:

  • Be unused and in the same condition as received

  • Include original packaging, labels, and accessories

  • Have proof of purchase (order number or receipt)

5. How to Request a Return

  2. Order number

  4. Clear description of the issue

  5. Photos of the product (for damages or defects)

Our support team will respond within 24–48 hours with return instructions.

6. Return Shipping Costs
6.1 Our Error (incorrect or defective item)

We cover all return shipping costs.

6.2 Customer Error (wrong item ordered, change of mind)

Customer is responsible for shipping costs back to us.

Shipping fees are non-refundable unless OTOPLAZA is at fault.

7. Refund Processing

Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you of approval or rejection.

If approved, you may choose:
  • Refund (processed within 5–7 business days)

  • Store credit

  • Exchange for another part

Refunds are issued using the original payment method unless otherwise agreed.

8. Exchanges

We allow exchanges for:

  • Incorrect items

  • Incompatible items

  • Defective items

If the replacement part costs more, the price difference must be paid before shipping.

9. Damaged Parcels (Courier Damage)

If your parcel is damaged in transit:

  • Do not accept the package from the courier if visibly damaged

  • Take clear photos

  • Notify us immediately at info@otoplaza.co.za

We will liaise with the courier and arrange a replacement.

10. Warranty Claims

Some products may include manufacturer warranties. Warranty terms vary by supplier.

Warranties do not cover:

  • Incorrect installation

  • Wear-and-tear

  • Accidental damage

  • Misuse of parts

Contact us if you need assistance with a claim.

11. Non-Delivery or Lost Parcels

If your parcel does not arrive within the estimated time:

  • Contact us within 7 days of the expected delivery date

  • We will trace the parcel with the courier

  • If lost, we will arrange a replacement or full refund

12. Cancellations

Order cancellations are allowed only if the order has not yet been processed or shipped.

Once shipped, the standard return procedure applies.
